Destine let a grin infiltrate her normally-straight line of mouth, hooves dwindling forward calmly, and then... the Rebel Queen bowed to Stardust. Raising her head swiftly, she tossed it as if blessed with the gift of antlers, turning to face all who stood. "If the only thing I have gained in the formation of this herd is this satement right here that Stardust has exclaimed, then we have done a good job," she announced quietly, leisurely making her way around the gathered deer, holding her brother's stupified look longest, her demeanor as if strained of all wickedness and rebellion.
"Who are we, to speak angry words about this doe?" she continued, nodding to Stardust. "If all she was trying to do was speak her mind." Now Destine was facing Escarla and Faeline. "Isn't that, just what we were trying to get across?" Now her bod drifted off again, placing herself before them all. "No, I am not saying this feud is over. Nor that I call a truce with Baldor's herd." At this, Laural sighed and hung his cranium slightly, as if he no longer had the effort to listen to Destine's foolishness. "All I am saying, is that if it weren't for this herd, Miss Stardust here would still be among those quiet, solemn few who do only as they are told. Now, we shall negotiate as civil creatures."
Quietly, she dipped her head to the others, and walked firmly over to the hind they called Stardust, a light smile faded on her face.

Escarla listened to her Queen silently, her eyes becoming brighter with agreement, and kinder towards Stardust. Destine was right. "Yes" she spoke, bowing her head peacefully in an agreeing way. In her thoughts, Escarla believed that Stardust should join them. Sure, she was shy, but she shouldn't be bossed around by those....those stags. Perhaphs she would come around?

ooc- BTW, when's the season change? It's been summer for an awful long time.
She backed up a few steps, still retaining her staked posture. Her legs stuck themselves to the ground, eyeing carefully each deer. Whatever was going on? She snorted softly to herself--a barely audible sound. And then, at least in Stardust's eyes, Destine bowed down to her. She had to pull her hooves away to avoid getting them in the way. Her speaking puzzled the hind. "Destine. You need to understand my intentions of coming here were to create peace. If you aren't going to accept that proposal, my coming would be a full waste, and the words I have just spoken to your likings would have vanished." The words drilled on her.
A creature that does as told...? She shook her head sadly, looking at this proud leader standing in front of her as the other hinds began bowing at her, too. "I plead you to all stop this. Do as told, Destine? It doesn't matter, for in every herd, there is only one that need not do as told. Your wonderful herd here is part of that matter." She sighed quietly, almost to herself. She would've spoken under her breath, but she didn't. The next part was important. "Destine, there has been a change. I've felt that strong change since I came. Alright, it might not be Baldor, but I'm working on it. Isn't it better for the world to be in peace than war? If it is to your likings, I will try to help change Baldor." She lowered her head a bit, trying to aviod too much eye contact. "But you must admit, though, that revenge is not the answer. You have to admit, though, that although Baldor is a different story, the rest of the stags there are nice." She motioned behind her for Lachen, and nodded at Laural.

Faeline lifted her head as Destine's demeanor suddenly changed, wing-like ears perked. Her eyes widenened in surprise as her Queen sank into a bow and, after a moments hesitation, she followed the does lead.
Her eyes caught Laural's, her head near the floor, and she returned the smile he had offered her earlier. He was a stag, but he wasn't intimidating. He was standing back, watching, just like she was. And he had tried to stop Stardust and Destine from fighting.
Perhaps, if this stag was kind, there was hope for others? Perhaps Faeline had been a bit irrational in her fear of stags. Baldor sounded like a nasty peice of work, but maybe he was an exception?
The doe rose gracefully from her bow and smiled again at Laural, watching him through those thick eyelashes of hers as she thought all this. Then, as she slowly surfaced from her reverie, she started visibley, taking a hurried step backwards. A blush rose to her cheeks as she realised she had been staring and she quickly averted her gaze from his face, embarassed.
Stardust's words seemed to reflect Faeline's thoughts, and she nodded slowly, then turned to look at Destine. Would the other doe accept that maybe not all stags deserved to be rebelled against. Maybe Stardust's speech would quell Destine's anger. Maybe the rebel herd would find a way to live at peace with Baldor's herd.
Somehow, Faeline doubted it.

Trying to move as quietly as possible, Tristan carefully placed his hooves as he slowly walked forward. He didn't want to disturb anything that was currently going on. His brown eyes observed the group, mainly of does, as he came to a halt to the side behind Stardust. She was, after all, the one he knew best. Tristan did his best to try to look friendly, and to show that he didn't pose a threat like most of these does probablu suspected.

ooc- You know, it could still be autumn without a full-on rut at first. We've been in summer for a while now... O.o
Unsuspectingly, another sound was heard from the distance moving closer. Stardust's eyes caught sight of of a different buck than that she had expected coming up to take his place next to her. No, it wasn't the Lachen or the Laural that she had motioned for, but in fact a darker, almost melanistic stag. It was Tristan. She was able to relax her tense bodice a slight bit knowing that she might as well have some help in a seemlingly slipping situation. Though this fact be true, she knew none of the stags would dare hurt a hind. She smiled at Tristan, like pointing to him as an example. Not all stags were Baldor-like. They needed to know that fact.

Seeing Stardust point to him, he took this as a sign to introduce himself. "Hello, I'm Tristan. He greeted, sounding like he didn't have a care in the world. Along with this, he bowed slightly. After raising his head, he spoke once more. "I hope you don't mind my presence here. I'm new here and I thought it would be good to meet others." He looked towards the unfamiliar does, and then towards Stardust once more.

Destine shook her head sadly. "I'm afraid it's not that easy, Stardust," she replied calmly, surveying the rest of the deer, then locking back in on her target. "I don't let others fight my battles for me. Not you - not Laural - not anyone. I appreciate that you want to help, I really do." Now she led her head turn to her "herd" lined up behind her, motioning kindly at Faeline and Escarla, nodding a calm 'I know what I'm doing,' to their stances.
Her smile had not completely faded away up until now, but finally, the last trace of it evaporated into a solemn line. "Tell Baldor, that if he wants to speak with me or my herd, that he must do it by himself, to my face. Okay, Stardust?" Turning back to the does she now led, completely ignoring Tristan, she added a final quiet remark, "Thank you."
Now, finally registering the newer stag's words, she nodded calmly towards his bulk. "I'm Destine. This is my herd," a sweeping gesture erupted from these words towards the rebel hinds. "But it seems you are already one of Baldor's."
At this Laural, trotted over to his sister, gazing down at her with forceful, yet loving eyes. "Destine, you ought not go through with this," he whispered to her. "Baldor will take you back; you know -"
A sharp look banished his words, as she interrupted. "Are you on my side or Baldor's side?
Laural gazed back with a blank look. "W - who me? I'm... I'm on nobody's 'side.' I'm nuetr -"
"It has been said," the hind's shrill voice cut in once more. "That if you are not for me, you are against me! Now, who do you stand for... Baldor, or me?"
The stag gaped quietly. He didn't want to hurt his only sister. But he couldn't turn his back on Baldor's normal herd! His sister was talking madness! How could the buck throw it all away? Laural could not find words to reply.
"Very well, brother. So be it. I understand; you have priorities. Your honor means more to you then flesh and blood. I respect that." And thus, Destine left him, standing there, stuttering a weak response.

The hind blinked as Destine replied to her. What came out of Destine's mouth stunned her, for she was so used to the hind being excessively rude at her every little remark. Now, it was only a solemn sound that appeared through her kissers. She smiled gently, a warm feeling roused inside her. Then Stardust had done some good, after all. She had been able to approach Destine into a mind she had never before met of this hind. She was able to calm the fiery temper for once, and at least speak with peace. Even a thanks was able to retreat out of her lips.
This time, it was Stardust who bowed to the rebel, her nose inches away from the ground. "No, no Destine. I thank you for this conversation." Still, something troubled her a little, but the worst was over. With a half-teasing tone, she spoke once more. "I know I might be a little 'nothing', but I won't approve of a war. But I will bring your words to him, I promise." She sighed, watching Destine walk off. Again, the slippery fish had to go before she could fully finish. Oh, well. She had done more than expected this time, anyhow. Her final words called out to Destine. "Destine... please... I wish you the best of luck with your herd..." She looked at each hind with a longingness in her eyes--a distant one that couldn't be spoken of.
She then turned to Laural, and a warm smile overcame her face. So what if Laural was Destine's brother and a stag? He deserved respect, as well. Kindly, she whispered. "It's okay, m'lord. Everything shall be alright." She waited a while for him to revive himself again, to get the facts into his head. She wanted no one traumatized from this. To all three stags, she dippe her head gently, eyes twinkling with those of serenity. "I tried to create peace... really, I did..." She rested herself on one side, a little tired from the argument but nothing much. "Let us go now, shall we?" She waited for someone to take the lead.

"You did well." Tristan said quietly to Stardust, smiling warmly. He turned, waiting for her to follow so they could depart. He wasn't too sure where to go, being new and all, but he would go wherever she pleased to.
Escarla was in a kinder mood now that things had settled down. Today had been a rather..hectic day, at least in her eyes. What she wanted now was to just relax in some quiet meadow with her new herd.
(Sorry for the shortness...I have to go to bed right now..I hear my mum coming! gah)

Faeline smiled at Destine, her Queen and only friend in these alien lands. Although the doe's request scared her, Faeline decided to hide her fear. She would follow Destine to the end of the earth if need be, for she had shown her, if slightly obscure, kindness, and the timid doe felt braver around her.
Her eyes filled with sadness as Laural and Destine argued. Destine was her first priority when it came to 'sides', but Laural seemed so kind... it was awful that the siblings had been torn apart by the rebellion.
Faeline sighed as Destine turned away. Poor Laural. He looked so shocked... but there was nothing the young hind could do. This was Destine's campaign, she was merely a follower. So, she smiled sympathetically at Laural, trying to convey her helplessness in her expression, then turned and trotted after Destine, looking to the future and trying to figure out where her new lifestyle would take her.
